Our press and forging cylinders operate at the highest end of the pressure and bore-size spectrum — up to Ø800 mm bore and 350 bar working pressure — and are manufactured with the ultra-precise dimensional control that press applications demand.
Forging press cylinders must sustain millions of high-energy load cycles without fatigue or seal failure. We use premium alloy steels (42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6), deep-hole boring to Ra 0.4 µm internal finish, hard chrome plated rods ground to h6 tolerance, and Polyurethane or FKM seals selected for the specific pressure and temperature profile of each press. All cylinders are proof-tested at 1.5× working pressure before despatch.
