Factory Overview

Wuxi Hengshui Machinery Co., Ltd. is located at No. 1510 Qianhu Road, Hudai Town, Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Our manufacturing facility is equipped with precision machining, honing, and assembly equipment dedicated to the production of non-standard custom hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, and integrated valve assemblies.

The factory operates dedicated production lines for cylinder tube machining, piston rod processing, precision honing, component cleaning, and pressure testing. Our logistics department handles daily outbound shipments via sea freight, air freight, and road transport, with professional export packing and rust-prevention treatment applied to every order.

Production Process — 8 Steps

01

Raw Material Inspection

Incoming steel bar, tube, and seal materials are verified against material certificates and tested for hardness, dimensional accuracy, and chemical composition before entering the production line.

Rough Machining

Cylinder tubes and rods are rough-turned on large CNC lathes to remove bulk material and establish datum surfaces, leaving adequate stock for finish machining operations.

Precision Machining

Finish turning and boring operations bring all critical dimensions — bore diameter, rod diameter, thread pitch, and port locations — to final engineering tolerances using calibrated multi-axis machining centers.

Precision Honing

Cylinder bores are honed to a crosshatch surface finish (Ra 0.2–0.4μm) that optimises seal lubrication, minimises friction, and maximises service life under cyclic loading.

Component Cleaning

All machined components pass through ultrasonic cleaning and high-pressure rinsing to remove metal particles, cutting oil, and contamination before assembly — a critical step for seal and valve longevity.

Assembly

Cylinders are assembled in dedicated clean bays. Seals, bearings, cushions, and end caps are installed with torque-controlled tools. Every assembly is checked for correct sequence and component identification before proceeding.

Pressure Testing

Every finished cylinder is subjected to a full hydrostatic pressure test at 1.5× rated working pressure, held for a minimum of 30 seconds, with all readings automatically recorded for traceability.

Coating, Packing & Shipping

Cylinders are painted or coated per customer specification, ports are plugged and rods protected with stretch-wrap and plastic caps, then packed in export-grade wooden crates or cartons with rust-inhibiting VCI film.

Quality Control System

QC Node 1 — Incoming Material

Every batch of raw steel undergoes spectroscopic chemical analysis, Brinell hardness testing, and dimensional verification against our approved material specifications. Supplier certificates are cross-checked against test results, and any non-conforming material is quarantined and returned. Only approved materials are tagged and released to the production floor.

QC Node 2 — In-Process Inspection

Dedicated QC inspectors perform dimensional checks at each machining stage using calibrated CMM equipment, bore gauges, and surface profilometers. Critical dimensions — bore diameter, rod diameter, straightness, and surface roughness — are recorded on production traveller cards that accompany each batch through the entire manufacturing process.

QC Node 3 — Pre-Assembly Inspection

All components, including purchased seals, rod eyes, end caps, and cushion assemblies, are inspected against drawing requirements before entering the assembly bay. Seal kits are verified for material type (NBR, FKM, or Polyurethane) and dimensional conformance. Components failing inspection are tagged and removed from the assembly queue.

QC Node 4 — Final Testing & Audit

After assembly, every unit undergoes a full cycle test (extension and retraction under load), leakage inspection at all seal faces and ports, and a documented hydrostatic pressure test. A random sample from each production batch is independently audited by our QA department. All test records are archived for ten years and can be provided to customers upon request.

Materials & Seal Quality

Seal Products

All hydraulic cylinders use seal kits sourced from German Merkel (Merkel) and American Parker (Parker) — two of the world's leading hydraulic seal manufacturers. These seals provide excellent pressure resistance, temperature stability, and service life across demanding industrial applications.

Raw Materials

Cylinder tubes and piston rod bar stock are sourced from Huai Steel (淮钢) and Tianjin Seamless Pipe (天津管材), both major Chinese steel producers supplying with full material certificates. All incoming materials are inspected for dimensional accuracy and chemical compliance before entering production.
