The Engineering Machinery Tie-Rod Cylinder 255/180-966 255/180-966 is designed for hydraulic press and forming machinery where high clamping forces, precise stroke control, and long service intervals are required. Tie-rod construction ensures excellent alignment and easy field maintenance. Suitable for cold forming, hot forging, and rubber moulding press applications. Bore diameter Ø255mm, piston rod diameter Ø180mm, stroke 966mm. Materials: barrel — seamless honed steel tube; piston rod — 45# or 40Cr alloy steel, induction hardened Ø0.03-0.05mm oversize then hard chrome plated to Ra≤0.4μm; seals — Parker (USA) or Merkel (Germany) standard. All cylinders are hydraulically pressure-tested before dispatch. Custom bore, stroke, mounting, port position and surface treatment available on request.
